How we started
From the bridge to a blank CV
Our founder spent ten years at sea — from Cadet to Chief Engineer on tankers and bulk carriers trading globally. When he decided to come ashore, he sat down to write his CV and realised he had no idea how to explain what he'd done for the past decade in terms a shore-based employer would understand.
He wasn't alone. Every seafarer he knew who had transitioned ashore described the same experience: years of exceptional experience, and no way to communicate it. The maritime industry had a translation problem.
